NOTE TO POTENTIAL DONORS

The National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF) has approved an application from the organization: Optimist Junior Interclub Curling League and will issue official CRA approved tax receipts for project P263 – Optimist U18 Curling Championships being held in Langley & Surrey, BC April 2-6, 2014 (make note of the two items in bold). Click this link to SportBC/NSTF  to make a donation. Prompts will take you through the steps to authenticate your donation. Options are “Donate Online”, “Donate by cheque”, “Donate stock” and “Donate in-kind”. To help this event, state your donation preference as being to the organization “Optimist Junior Interclub Curling League“, and the project as “P263-Optimist U18 Curling Championships“. Cheques are to be made payable to “National Sport Trust Fund”.

The Host Committee for the 2014 Optimist U18 International Curling Championships thanks you for your consideration to amateur sport.  While small and large donations are appreciated, anyone wishing to donate a sizable amount should also contact Al Kersey (akersey@nulltelus.net) to discuss recognition during the event.

 

The SportsBC Service Fee is less for donations by cheque than the Fee for donations online.

 

Service Fees: Fees for utilizing the service are deducted from qualifying donations when granting funds

are distributed. The current fee schedule for processing each individual donation is as follows:

 

Cash/Cheque $2 + 3% to an amount up to $5,000, and 1% on any

amount over $5,000

Credit Card $2 + 4.5% no cap

Gifts in Kind Under $1,000 $25

$1,001 – $9,999 $50

$10,000 – $19,999 $100

Over $20,000 $250

Stocks/Securities 2% + any brokerage fees
